Shannon Harris Shannon Harris, MPT OCS
is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. He graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, California where he received the Outstanding Clinician Award.

Shannon is an accomplished manual therapist, with over 20,000 treatment sessions to his credit, rehabilitating a wide range of orthopedic and sports injuries, as well as other conditions. Before earning his master’s degree in physical therapy, Shannon worked as a massage therapist for many years and earned a Kinesiology degree in Exercise Science. Shannon’s eclectic background has lead to a unique treatment style, combining expertise in Physical Therapy, body work and functional exercise training. Also, by treating clients with hour-long sessions, in a relaxed, beautiful setting, Shannon has found he can treat more comprehensively the multiple factors that contribute to and result from injury.

This is the model upon which Shannon formed the Body Reform® studio. With generous time, in a setting that feels less clinical and more comfortable, Shannon is able to guide his clients from injury rehabilitation to a proactive approach designed to identify and eliminate problems before they limit function or ability. This approach allows consideration and advancement of a client’s strength, mobility, stability, agility, balance, power and knowledge.

Mary Perkins Harris

Mary Perkins Harris, MA is a certified STOTT PILATESTM Instructor on the Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Barrels, and Mat. Her post-certification training includes courses that enable her to work effectively with athletes, as well as clients suffering from challenges such as osteoporosis, obesity, and a variety of orthopedic conditions.

Mary utilizes her strong knowledge in functional anatomy and rehabilitative exercise to make her a leading Pilates instructor for both healthy and injured individuals. She identifies harmful postural sets and movement patterns that limit athletic ability, lead to nagging aches and pains, and contribute to more significant problems as we age.

Her creative approach to stability, balance and flexibility was developed through her experiences in dance, gymnastics, diving, collegiate cheerleading, and as a Pilates, Yoga, and physical education instructor.

Utilizing Pilates, Mary successfully rehabilitated her own chronic back condition – a problem that had been exacerbated by car accidents, a kickboxing injury and years on the road as a TV producer. Improvements in her physical condition were so extraordinary she co-founded Body Reform® Physical Therapies, Inc., in order to help others find the same physical freedom.

The Educated Muscle

The human body is more complex than any machine, but unfortunately it doesn’t come with an owner’s manual. Most of us have never been taught which postures and movement patterns make us resilient, and which ones cause damage over treatment sessiontime. Body Reform®’s tutorial style of exercise training, body-work and rehabilitation will help you learn to instinctively manage the biomechanics of your own body, assuring you the best mechanical advantage and the least possibility of injury. We’ll take you to a higher level of function, regardless of your current stage of fitness. By retraining your body, we will improve the quality of all your physical endeavors, while at the same time helping to prevent injuries and degenerative conditions often caused by the improper use of your amazing “machine.” Whether your goal is athletic achievement, rehabilitation, injury prevention, wellness, longevity, weight loss, or the pursuit of beauty, Body Reform® can help you get there faster and with lasting benefits.
